The non-leaded crystal is first mouth blown before going into a wooden mold to create the classic Aalto shape. The pieces are then hand cut and go through several polishing and finishing steps before they are completed, creating a piece worthy of permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art. In addition to the standard Aalto colors, each year selects two new glass colors to run in limited production.
